Darren Jay

The New York based artist, Darren Jay began singing at the age of 16, when he began singing in his church choir. Growing up in the church and singing in the church choir gave Darren his foundation where he would continue finding his voice. Darren is an artist who he would say "doesn't fit into any one genre" and loves to experiment with all different genres of music. He began to make music with SOC ( Soldiers of Christ) as a music group back in 2014, where he began his journey. As life changes occurred within the group, Darren worked to improve his craft and worked to grow as a singer-songwriter as well as a producer & engineer. He launched a production company in 2021 called Harvest Music Group to further building his passion of creating, collaborating, and facilitating not only his musical vision but others, as well. A big part of Darren's life is also spent leading worship with his wife Ariel and serving within his local church. Darren has two beautiful daughters that fuel his every passion. One whom shares in his love of music. With Darren, you never know what genre the next song will fit into. Darren prides himself in creating a beautiful melody and hook that extends past any genre or mold. His musical influences are widespread and his music reflects that.
