French music icon, Dalida, said of Shake, “ He comes from afar, but his talent deserved the trip.” He has been knighted by the Sultan of Johor for representing and introducing Malayasia to a European public. Shake was awarded the the prestigious Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres et du Mérite medal in France.
