Dave Booth

Dave Booth is a songwriter /hobby Producer from Runcorn England with the dreams of becoming pro. At 13 years old he fell in love with the bass guitar and at 15 started playing live in his fathers Irsh folk covers band. This lead him to playing Bass for multiple bands over the years and eventually to a band called The Nero. Dave played bass guitar for The Nero for 5 years, performing in shows that spanned half way around the world and recording two albums in the UK and Canada.
Daves musical focus shifted to songwriting and production following an intense experience with a powerful psychedelic. "After that experience two things happened, the first was I stopped biting my nails, the second was I became obsessed with fingerstyle acoustic guitar." This obsession with fingerstyle guitar created a hunger to learn as much as possible about music and guitar theory, as well as the history of Blues music. "I love it all. Its my therapy, my passion, my hobby, my meditation. Its a wonderful force."
Daves style is emotional, dark and moody, with deep, meaningful and poetic lyrics. "I use guitar, bass and drums to create atmospheric, haunting but catchy melody's. "
"My songwriting influences are Nick Cave, Tom Waits, Shane MacGowan, Leonard Cohan and Bob Dylan. I also listen to Blues, Rock, Folk, Punk, I am an 80s baby, so all that good stuff from the 90s too!"
Dave currently resides in Kelowna , British Columbia.
