Growing up in the suburbs of Long Island, New York, Paul David Alexander felt isolated, frustrated, lonely and anxious. “I didn’t have a lot of friends and I was trapped in the same school district I attended kindergarten in” Alexander states. “I hated everyone in my school and wanted to get the hell out.” By the time he was fourteen years old, he discovered the acoustic guitar. It, for lack of a better term, changed his life. “I remember sitting in my backyard of my old house and writing a song that sounded similar to fifteen by Taylor Swift.” I was just desperate to write a song and I did. Fast forward a decade and David Alexander, at 26, has released countless singles, two records “I’m Not Like Blue Eyes: Act I,” and “The Aviator,” signed a recording contract in May of 2017 with Audio Workstations and has become an honorary member of the Recording Academy in Los Angeles, California. “Nothing is stopping me now” Alexander says. “I worked so hard for what I’ve become and I’m so proud, regardless of what anyone else thinks of me.”
