David Goyette is a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from the Metro Detroit area. From a very young age, David has been enamored with music and playing any instrument he could get his hands on. Starting with the drums at age 4, David quickly added piano and guitar and later started writing songs at age 13. Inspired by all genres of music, he enjoys writing an eclectic range of songs and crafting unique voices for all instruments. With lyrics reflecting his own personal experience, David hopes to emotionally connect with listeners through his music.
After playing and writing in multiple bands, David sought to record music as a solo artist. On October 16th, 2020, David released his first single, “<a href="spotify:album:2elQWjiaIcIFKXABlQ2YSf" data-name="44th Street">44th Street</a>," marking his official solo debut. This was soon followed by “<a href="spotify:album:1CkvuCGUWlQ8c3rWne0fku" data-name="Sing Tonight">Sing Tonight</a>,” and the release of his first full length album, “<a href="spotify:album:08vrxZF4dNMP6EEMr5uAIb" data-name="Smoking Colors">Smoking Colors</a>” on October 30th, 2020. "Smoking Colors" was recorded at Amber Lit Audio in Grand Rapids, MI by <a href="spotify:artist:66Gd5ugsyGpSfNT3IhcSf7" data-name="Matt Ten Clay">Matt Ten Clay</a>. On June 11th, 2021, David released "<a href="spotify:album:0igLsXqepiFDoyUnICSeyM" data-name="Forgotten Tales from the Mountain">Forgotten Tales from the Mountain</a>," three songs originally written for his former band, My Father's Yeti. This project was recorded at Rancho Recordo in Fenton, MI. On December 6th, 2021, David released his version of the Christmas classic, "<a href="spotify:album:1y97ax7jtaRtnwgoLFHmdU" data-name="O Holy Night">O Holy Night</a>." In the fall of 2022 and spring of 2023 respectively, David released "<a href="spotify:album:1usz1rWJ8WkypRZRj8I98Q" data-name="Leaves in the Fall">Leaves in the Fall</a>" and "<a href="spotify:album:3wXb75x4gEJjoL9f5iiBVm" data-name="Leaves in the Spring">Leaves in the Spring</a>", a series of acoustic songs. On March 1st, 2024, David released <a href="spotify:album:4974oKry3RyniKLWE70yeU" data-name="Songs I Used to Love">Songs I Used to Love</a>, his sophomore album.
