David Hilderhoff is a singer-songwriter from Greensburg, PA, blending early country influences with a fresh, introspective storytelling style. His love for music started young—first behind a drum kit, learning from his father, then teaching himself on a beat-up three-string guitar from Goodwill. That passion quickly turned into songwriting, leading him to pursue music full-time.
David began college close to home but soon realized songwriting was his true calling. He transferred to Belmont University in 2022, where he honed his craft and developed a sound shaped by legends like Guy Clark, Jason Isbell, and Willie Nelson, as well as modern influences like Noah Kahan. His music leans folky and alt-country, with an emphasis on raw, unfiltered storytelling.
His debut EP, Lessons in Letting Go, produced by fellow Belmont student Logan Freevol, embraces his early country roots while remaining deeply personal and honest. David describes his music as “authentic and vintage, but open for interpretation”—inviting listeners to find their own meaning in every lyric.
