David Ivan Neil is just one guy (usually) but he does have a band (sometimes) also he never learned how to play guitar but he writes songs that connect with people anyhow. How can someone with almost no talent make up such sad and funny songs? The only answer can be: Satan. Did David sell his soul to be the third bill on basement shows in such exotic locales as Nelson, BC? Yes. Damn. why? I don’t know.
Anyway, his last EP ‘Daffodils’ was named the 4th best short album of 2023 by Cups N Cakes (who also listed the title track as one of their faves) They even went as far as comparing him to the late, great David C Berman.
