20-year-old singer-songwriter David Nathaniel knew from an early age that he had a deep connection to music. Born in Detroit, Michigan to an Afro-Panamanian father and an African-American mother, his upbringing exposed him to a rich tapestry of musical influences, igniting his passion for singing.
David's journey in music took a significant turn when, at the age of 12, he began specialized vocal training in musical theater. His dedication led to notable accomplishments, including earning the highest award for "Solo Musical Theater" in Michigan during his high school years. As he continued to evolve, the internet played a pivotal role in his musical exploration, introducing him to online bedroom-pop artists, all of whom inspired his love for songwriting.
With self-taught guitar skills acquired through online tutorials and a growing portfolio of original compositions from middle school to high school, David decided to pursue formal education in a supportive environment. This led him to Berklee College of Music, where he began on his journey at Berklee majoring in Songwriting in the fall of 2022.
Recently "<a href="spotify:album:1SWIJhEkdOmNDXO9d647V2" data-name="dear forever (extras)">dear forever (extras)</a>" was released as a two-song project born out of the immense love and appreciation he received following his debut EP, "<a href="spotify:album:5Zc0g3RIRr4cVR9wERtR7x" data-name="Michigan">Michigan</a>" This special release serves as a testament to his artistic growth.
