David Nyro

Right before the love of my life kicked me to the curb (yes, somewhere there's a curb, or two, or more, with our name on it), she compared me to Eddie Eagle, that daft, driven Olympic dreamer. Okay, I'll own it. I AM the Eddie Eagle of the music world!
But, like Eddie Eagle, I keep aiming high, moving forward, taking chances, being fearless, and doing my best to get better and keep it real!
I might not win any awards (tho' I do have a few "Golden Kayaks") or accolades, but it's about the journey, and who you meet and who you become along the way, n'est pas?
I write songs. 3,000 (or thereabouts) and counting. Like breathing for me.
I live in a very beautiful place called Tacoma, Washington, USA.
I sing, play guitar, piano, banjo (sorta), harmonica. Professionally recorded songs so far: 42. I think. Three ep's, one album, nine singles.
My songs have been played (and are still being played) on about 100 radio stations, mostly internet, around the world, including several in the UK. I'm a genre chameleon. I've been compared to Elbow, Peter Gabriel ("whoa!"), Eric Clapton, Randy Newman, Jackson Browne, and "Seal singing a song written by David Bowie" for my song "Waiting For My Life (to Start Again.)"
