David Ward Sr. is a Jacksonville fl native singer-songwriter who made his first EP in 2014 titled "The Royal EP" under the name King Dave. A song from that EP titled "Declaration of Praise" was picked up by Shiloh Metropolitan Baptist Church in Jacksonville Fl and recorded on their project "Joe Pace presents H.B. Charles Jr. and the Shiloh Church Choir". That album was picked up by Universal Records and went to Number 2 on the Gospel Billboard Charts for 6 consecutive weeks and was among albums nominated for a Stellar Award, with "Declaration of Praise debuting as the #1 song on the album.
David has since written, arranged, and produced songs for local artists and is continuing to focus on writing and singing more Gospel-centered music.
