Dawn Golden is a solo outlet for <a href="spotify:artist:648kpaANsUr1HABoE4mkPw">Houses</a>' Dexter Tortoriello -- a way for the musician to indulge in inspirations ranging from doom metal to noise while making downcast, fogged-out songs that involve warped electronics and heavily treated instruments. Tortoriello's first Dawn Golden release, an April 2011 EP titled Blow, was technically credited to Dawn Golden & Rosy Cross and issued on <a href="spotify:search:label%3A%22Mad+Decent%22">Mad Decent</a>/<a href="spotify:search:label%3A%22Downtown%22">Downtown</a>. Afterward, Tortoriello moved from Chicago to Los Angeles and settled into <a href="spotify:artist:5fMUXHkw8R8eOP2RNVYEZX">Diplo</a>'s <a href="spotify:search:label%3A%22Mad+Decent%22">Mad Decent</a> studio.
