Known for both her sweet, sultry Folk and her righteous powerhouse Blues, former lead singer of The F Street Project, Dawn Madsen is a true treat on stage. Combining Folk & Blues with elements of Jazz & Rock, her vocal dynamics remain unmatched by other performers in her area. Although not famous by any right, she has become a local favorite over the past several years around Snohomish & Island Counties of Washington State.
In 2013, Madsen was fresh out of high school when she released her first studio Folk album, A Shoe and a Stone. The album was used mostly to showcase her talents, in the years following. In 2017, the song No Baby was used in an ad for Sno-town, a local brewery in Snohomish. That same year, Madsen released her second studio album, The Long Way Home. Produced by Devin Rice & co-produced by Devin Ocean, the album was inclusive of Jazz, Gospel and elements of Pop and Soft Rock, while still remaining evidently Neo-Folk.
Dawn joined local eclectic cover band, The F Street Project in 2017, and remained as lead vocalist until 2021, when band founder, Richard Lowell passed away. Her partnership with the band marked perhaps the most notable portion of her career in music, thus far. Madsen spent several years away from the studio – performing across counties regularly with The F Street Project – until 2020, when she again teamed up with Devin Rice to release her Tales of Doom and Gloom EP.
