Dawn Patrol

Formed from the ashes of late-1970's/1980s rock band, Big Money, Dawn Patrol has continued to explore the hook-laden tradition set by its predecessor. Touring throughout the southeastern United States, the five piece band continues to draw increasing fan support for its infectious music.

While the core of its sound reflects the input of ex-Big Money members, Roger Bush, Dwayne "Rodak" McCormick and Noel Vaughn, Dawn Patrol takes a step forward with the addition of guitar, mandolin and keyboards player Kid Otto and bass player Hank Stardust. A former member of Jeff Stevens and the Bullets, Otto had been a fan of Big Money while still in high school. Telephoning Bush, who had been playing jazz and appearing with a touring production of Jesus Christ Superstar since the breakup of Big Money, Otto introduced himself. Their friendship continued to grow as they began exchanging tapes. Meeting for the first time during a February 1995 performance in Charleston, West Virginia, Bush and Otto began working on a proposed solo album by Otto. The collaboration proved so fruitful that the two decided to continue working together. ~ Craig Harris, Rovi
