Born and raised on the South side of Chicago, Dawne is an old soul with a sanctified sound. Singing since the age of 3, Dawne quickly became known for her ability to interpret and personalize songs. She gained her vocal foundation singing with her aunt and cousins. In high school and church, she was formally trained by her music teacher and Minister of Music. Through trials and triumphs, Dawne continued to sing, believing that there was a calling on her life and healing in her voice. She pursued a professional career in Banking, while enjoying opportunities to sing for private events, in her church, and with her childhood friends, (known as the group) Favoured. Finally, after a life-altering event, she stepped into her calling and decided to "RUN" to God. Through her debut release, RUN, and her forthcoming EP, Dawne shares her testimonies. Her hope is that she ministers to and connects with her listeners in a way that uplifts them, draws them closer to God and carries them through.
