Formed in 2023, "Day One" is a duo consisting of two well-established names in the Philippine music scene.
Kiko "KIKX" Salazar, a multi-awarded singer-songwriter-producer known for his hits such as "Akin Ka Na Lang" by Morissette, "Magandang Dilag" by JM Bales, and "Diwata" by Sam Concepcion. He co-produced Moira Dela Torre’s 9x Platinum album "MALAYA" and has written songs for some of our music icons, including Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, Martin Nievera, Jed Madela, Jessica Sanchez, and more.
Adonis Tabanda, on the other hand, has made a name for himself and has been awarded in the field of musical directing, working with the likes of SB19, Morissette, Jessica Sanchez, Sheryn Regis, APO Hiking Society, Jamie Rivera, Rey Valera, Christian Bautista, and many more.
They have come together to create an exciting blend of original songs, giving a Pinoy twist to city pop. More retro and nostalgic grooves are coming this year as they release and collaborate more with the most interesting talents in town. If you like the sound of Stevie Wonder mashed up with a Bruno Mars and Silk Sonic twist, this is a band you’ll need to check out.
