Day One (Blake Day) has been cooking up beats in live bands for over a decade and has been producing since 2011. His main instrument is the keys (piano, organ, synth, etc.) and he holds an Honours degree from Humber College as a piano major, with a minor in production.
His beats are not your typical, run of the mill loops. Nearly everything you hear is played by him instead of the use of samples. Samples can be heard, but are generally used to augment his arrangements opposed to being the driving force.
