JUNO Award–nominated, internationally acclaimed folk artist Dayna Manning returns with her powerful new single, Better Days - an uplifting anthem of resilience that speaks across generations in uncertain times. With its unforgettable hook, emotional drive, and timeless message, Better Days is a good reminder that all things pass and to maintain faith during dark times. Better Days is a bright sounding, guitar-driven song with horns and harmonies. It’s a great mood lifter both musically and lyrically.
For over 25 years, Manning has been a defining voice in Canadian folk music. She released her debut album with EMI Canada and Nettwerk Music Group in 1997 and has since recorded five solo albums and three with the acclaimed folk trio Trent Severn. Her career has earned her both a JUNO nomination and a Canadian Folk Music Award nomination for Producer of the Year (2021).
Beyond music, Manning is also an author: her memoir Many Moons: A Songwriter’s Memoir - featuring a foreword by Col. Chris Hadfield - was named one of Canadian Living Magazine’s “Best Books of the Season.” In her hometown of Stratford, Ontario, she is equally celebrated as a community arts leader, mentor, and advocate for the power of music to bring people together.
With Better Days, Manning once again captures the heart of the moment -delivering a song that uplifts, connects, and reminds us all that brighter days are always within reach.
