In 2007 he decided to switch gears again but this time to music and this time it stuck. His first video clip was released back in 2009 and in 2011 he started a rap group called StreaNobo with fellow artist Reshine. Following this, Reshine moved back to Curaçao and featured with a few artists on the island. During this time Dayo remained relatively incognito, producing mostly Rastafarian themed and life-recounting singles.
It was in 2015 when he released his single “Mi Stimabu 4 Real” that turned out to be his first mega hit. “Mi Stimabu 4 Real” is sung by adults and kids and since the release of this song Dayo became more famous in his native country Curaçao.
Dayo currently lives in Rotterdam, The Netherlands
He aims to make the kind of music that makes people relax but at the same time bump in the club. But overall, in the end he really prefers bringing out love songs. His focus is to inspire the world with his positive vibration and teach them with his music that all we need in this world is LOVE.
