The name D.Chesron is inspired by the biblical name Chesron, with the “D” standing for Deathrow—a nod to the iconic label that once signed 2Pac, as well as the 90s film about a wrongly convicted death row inmate. Symbolically, the “D” can also represent Disordered, referring to mental health challenges, or Destined, reflecting his personal mission and perseverance.
Diagnosed with autism and having faced ongoing mental health struggles, D.Chesron channels these experiences into his music. His goal is to speak directly to others on the spectrum and anyone dealing with similar battles. This mission is reflected in his critically personal Dutch album Autist and its English-language follow-up, Artist.
His musical journey began in 2003 with the international crew Smugglin’ Beat Recordz, featuring members from Germany, Mexico, Canada, and Denmark. During the early internet era, he built global connections and collaborations through online forums and message boards.
Stylistically rooted in the legacy of artists like 2Pac and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, D.Chesron has evolved his sound across genres, adapting like a musical chameleon. His versatility is one of his defining strengths.
In recent years, D.Chesron has performed with the Residential Orchestra in The Hague, blending classical music with live hip-hop in a powerful cross-genre collective. He is also a member of the rap group Dymes Inside Of Rhymes, continuing to expand his impact through collaboration and live performance.
