DCP was a mid 90s post punk, “new school”, punk band based in Michigan. Guitarist, Brett Pickett and bassist Sean Lyons hailing from East Lansing, and drummer, Edward McEachern living in Detroit and surrounding areas. After Brett responded to an ad that Ed placed in the local rag, “looking for a band to bitch and play bass in”; they met up and jammed. Then drummer Brett soon realized that Ed should play drums, he’d man the guitar, and he’d ask his friend, then DJ Sean to play bass. 6 month’s later the self title CD came out on now bankrupt label, Overcore Records, and DCP hit the road. After about a 2 month stint on the road, where three more tracks were recorded in Portland Oregon, one track being released on Caroline Records, they returned home for one final show in Lansing and called it quits. Those who got to see them say that DCP were ahead of their time and a must see at the time. \m/
