Modern metal band Dead End Scene has achieved a lot with their stubborn DIY approach: Two of their songs have reached the prestigious “Viral 50 Finland” Spotify chart, their songs have been streamed over a million times, and they have played close to a hundred shows, playing with bands like Smash Into Pieces, Normandie, Dynazty, S-Tool and Santa Cruz. After the release of their debut EP in 2017 to praising reviews, the biggest metal magazine of Finland, Inferno Magazine, stated that “the band can feel proud even when compared to the biggest names in the genre”.
After highly successful single releases, Dead End Scene released their second EP "Lockdown Archives" in 2021, which has reached over 700 000 streams to date. In the wake of the release, webzine Kaaoszine placed the band at the top of their “15 most promising young metal bands at the moment” listing, while one of the biggest metal influencers Nic Nocturnal included the band on his “Spotify´s top new metal bands” YouTube video. The group has even tipped their toes into the hockey world: In 2022 Finnish hockey club Oulun Kärpät invited Dead End Scene to make a cover of the team's iconic “Routasydän” anthem for the farewell ceremony of their captain Lasse Kukkonen. The event took place in front of a sold-out arena and was shown on national television.
