Dead End Sun

Last updated: 21 hours ago

Dead End Sun is the combination of thunder and rain with their electric and upbeat sound along with moody and intimate compositions. Their music is inspired by the tragedy and upliftings of life, capturing events that are common to the world. Through the experimentation and rawness of their recordings, Dead End Sun stands out with its original sounds but familiarity in a vintage tone. Influenced by classic and early 2000’s rock, Dead End Sun’s debut falls under the category of indie & alternative rock with its first release “Met A Girl.”

Consisting of three members and songwriters: Derrick Escobar, Franky Cuevas, and Giovanni Murillo. All having played together in previous projects, the trio decided to form a band once they found an outlet to get their songs finished. While they all play various instruments on the recordings, you can mainly find Franky behind the drums, Derrick on guitar/vocals, and Gio on guitar/vocals. Though they may all have their respected instruments, the roles of the members tend to change according to the composer of the song, thus keeping a fresh and new sound with each track. Their ability to swap around on instruments gives them the identity of a chameleon and allows them to seamlessly float around different genres.
