Duluth, MN’s Dead Guy In A Swamp is the Midwest definition of the stoner doom genre. From cataclysmic riffs to background music, they cover all the standard bases of the genre while adding the more major sounds that are normally lacking within this realm of music. While their more recent roots are found in Midwest emo and punk bands, their influences range from EYEHATEGOD, Bell Witch and Boris to Sunn O))). With Evan Arnold (of Slape) on guitar, Clayton Salargo on bass and William Guy (of Chippy & Slape) on drums, they form one complete wall of sound. “Bigger” is how they want to sound, and god dammit, this 3-piece is “bigger”.
