Dead Modern is a band born of that quintessential modern condition: nostalgia.

Nostalgia for youth. Nostalgia for the music of 1979 or 1989. Nostalgia for the club nights and basement gigs of 2009. Nostalgia for the long-shuttered venues of The Arches and Studio24. Nostalgia for old dreams and old friends.

Formed from the Scottish indie rock and electronic music underground - with members from <a href="spotify:artist:4z5OpKj6xIhU18pxrTKfCj" data-name="There Will Be Fireworks">There Will Be Fireworks</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3bdy0SiKCWdPD1kkhQPpGO" data-name="The Youth and Young">The Youth and Young</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:4ycJZWWnvO5jZv1S3odx0A" data-name="New Year Memorial">New Year Memorial</a> among others - Dead Modern recorded Still Cool with producer/engineer Andy Miller (Mogwai, Life Without Buildings, Songs: Ohia) at Gargleblast Studio in Hamilton, Scotland in 2019 and 2020.

Still Cool is a meditation on the past and how it forms us - what was lost, what was won and just how the hell did we get here? And how do we get back? Universal themes placed in the very specific context of a long-ago youth misspent in Glasgow&#39;s indie clubs.

We remember how it felt, and we still feel it.
