Dead Sea Sirens

Dead Sea Sirens are a rock band from all corners of the globe who find themselves based in Jordan, the Middle East. Hint - don’t ask us ‘where are you guys from?’ unless you have the kettle on and about 40 minutes to spare...

Their debut album, Visions, was released July 2021 after a year spent figuring out how the hell to rehearse and record in the midst of a global pandemic (turns out it’s three parts Whatsapp voice messages, one part insomnia).

The band is named after the remnants of a near dead ocean 400 meters below sea level in the Jordan valley. Dead Sea Sirens spent countless hours driving the winding road down to the sea hauling gear to gigs or heading for a swim.

The music is rooted in the band’s high energy live sound - Penzes’ raw vocal talent driven by big drums, big bass and guitars and the occasional 90’s shout out – a sound honed playing the Jordan music scene since 2019.

Dead Sea Sirens are Christina Penzes (vocals), Vivek Ayer (guitar), Joel Thorpe (bass) and Murad Mousa (drums).
