Dead Sleep are back with the follow up album to their highly acclaimed debut album ”In the belly of the beast” on Denomination Records. The title track Naked Tyrant opens the new album and sets the standard for the rest. It´s raw, dirty and full speed ahead. There are no dead moments:
Naked Tyrant is an intense punch to the face that leaves no one unruffled. A fourheaded beast, ready to conquer the world. The album was recorded and produced by Dead Sleep at The End studios together with long-time collaborator Ulf Blomberg and mastered by one of the band’s personal heroes: Joel Grind from Toxic Holocaust.
Both album releases are accompanied by Malmö artist Bartosz Nalezinski’s cover art.
Hailing from Malmö, Sweden’s four piece thrash metal unit Dead Sleep have been around since 2016. Forging their special brand of music in between the chaotic aggression of hardcore punk
and the bombast of metal, their sound picks the best from both old and new, falling into a strong tradition of eighties thrash metal while infusing it with a contemporary feel.
During the summer of 2017 Dead Sleep frequented some of the larger festivals, including Sweden Rock, Gefle Metal Festival and Malmö Festival. In 2018 and 2019 they did shows in Denmark, Germany and in Holland. In 2020 Dead Sleep hit the House of Metal Festival in Umeå, Sweden, and supported Nervosa in Malmö at their final show as a three-piece line-up.
