DeadXLife

DeadXLife is a Los Angeles based duo, a collaboration between multi-instrumentalist and producer Thomas Thorson (of national touring act, Dreamings), and vocalist Andrea Wasse (of Digital Daggers, with numerous syncs, including The Vampire Diaries, The Originals, Teen Wolf, How To Get Away With Murder, Nikita, Roswell, New Mexico, Pretty Little Liars, and most recently, Orange Is The New Black).

The two met in 2018 while Wasse was temporarily on keyboard and backup vocal duties with Thorson’s band, and they bonded when they found they had multiple musical heroes in common- from classics like Depeche Mode and Peter Gabriel to newer acts like NIN and Fever Ray. The bond was made stronger when they realized they were next-door neighbors. Their shared home neighborhood of Downtown LA became the psychic backdrop for the soul-searching and dystopic vision that was to become DeadXLife. The songs are steeped in a foreboding sense of heartbreak yet find optimism in the redemptive search for love.

With their combined efforts and unique skill-sets, DeadXLife fuses a rare combination of ethereal dreamlike soundscape and crystalinely focused emotional songwriting. DeadXLife’s self-titled full-length debut offers something for everyone, from lovers of classic pop to denizens of the electronic avant-garde. DeadXLife is playing shows in Los Angeles and is planning to soon bring their live show to audiences around the world.
