After years of creating music together, Deal Casino has finally found a balance that feels right. Made up of joeP, Jon Rodney, and joeC, Deal Casino has found themselves thrown into the indie or alt rock category, but with wide-ranging influences and mad scientist production tendencies, none of the category tags fit particularly well.
Deal Casino was born when joeP faked a broken leg to quit his day job. He simultaneously convinced Jon Rodney to give up his dream of being a butcher and move down to Asbury Park, NJ. joeC followed shortly after getting a degree in Advanced Modular Synthology.
With everyone living and writing under the same roof, the Deal Casino sound began to take shape. The combination of joeP’s haunting, often cynical vocals, joeC’s flair for all things technical and robotic, and Jon Rodney’s raunchy, “wannabe guitar” bass lines has earned them a reputation as a genre defying and inventive group. In 2018, they took their talents to Fidelitorium Studios in North Carolina to record their first proper full length LP, titled LLC. Since then, the boys have been on the road non-stop, opening for <a href="spotify:artist:458aS6ALc3QkzwfR5USt34" data-name="The Wrecks">The Wrecks</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:1U4d20oJAq9aLa2mhDGwVV" data-name="The Parlor Mob">The Parlor Mob</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:5ictveRyhWRs8Gt8Dvt1hS" data-name="The Front Bottoms">The Front Bottoms</a> , and most recently, <a href="spotify:artist:3T55D3LMiygE9eSKFpiAye" data-name="Badflower">Badflower</a> (dropping everything within 6 hours to book flights and travel to Europe).
Deal Casino will never stop evolving or pushing their musical boundaries. They have no idea what the future is going to bring, but they guarantee it won’t be boring. Stay tuned.
