With music playing an important role in her life from a very early age, singer-songwriter Deanna Faye has crafted a sound that is playful at times and dark and contemplative at other times. Born north of Toronto, Canada, she was raised in a family where music was a constant. As a performer, Deanna Faye’s nature is strikingly authentic.
After wrestling with and overcoming a major illness, Deanna felt motivated to pick up her music career where she had previously left off. Working full-time as a content editor during the day, Deanna performed at open-mic nights while she wrote songs for her EP, 'Good To You'.
The singer-songwriter’s debut EP was recorded and produced by Gavin Whelehan, with session musicians such as Charlotte Cornfield, Aimee Bessada, Juan Gabriel Olivares and Ian Koiter playing on the record.
