Dear (Your Name Here) is a solo project of Joel French with its early roots in the small Canadian prairie city of Lloydminster, Saskatchewan.
The project began in 2007 with the release of "A Speck of White," and a subsequent Canadian tour. In spring 2008, the sophomore release "Just Pull Back" was followed by a tour of Western Canada. After relocating to Edmonton, Alberta, Dear (Your Name Here) was largely dormant for several years, but in 2021, a revival began.
Joel had been playing with a start-up band called Concrete Oceans in Edmonton and recorded a set of songs before the band members parted ways. Thus was born the latest work from Dear (Your Name Here) - a three-song release titled to pay tribute to the now-defunct band and Dear (Your Name Here)'s first release in more than a decade.
