Death Strider

Death Strider is an American crossover hardcore band from Boston, MA that is tinged with the fury and energy of classic hardcore punk bands from the local scene. After being denied the ability to record due to the pandemic the band utilized the time they had in quarantine to fine-tune their onslaught of the hardcore scene which now comes to life with their self-titled EP released on New Years Day 2022.

Influenced heavily by the modern crossover thrash bands Power Trip and Iron Age, Death Strider brings the fury established by such crossover greats and channels it through the pummeling energy of their insanely skilled musicians. Boasting tracks consisting of charging rhythms and temperamental vocals from lead singer Jesse Dampolo, the band's aggression in songs such as “Icebreaker” is tinged with venom as they rail against the inhumane conditions of ICE detention centers in the U.S. Featuring members of local favorites Ghost Fame, Shortest Life, and Crossed, Death Strider brings an even greater amount of chaos and seething anger through the powerful energy of crossover thrash that has seen an increase in the hardcore scene the last few years.
