December Rising is the music project of Tracy T, a recording artist from Chicago, Illinois mixing cinematic noir pop with dramatic vocals and sonic landscapes. In 2015 Tracy released her first full length album under the name December Rising. The album drew inspiration from Tracy's experiences and was titled "Secrets". "Secrets" was a concept album and told the story of navigating the underground social scene of Chicago and included nine "Preludes" of poems to weave the songs together as a story. Subsequently, three videos were released to coincide with the album. In 2017 Tracy changed direction to draw inspiration from the lite rock ballads of the 70s and 80s . Under the name December Rising the album was titled "I'll Always Remember" and showcased Tracy's powerful vocals. Three videos were released for the album, one of which is a slide show of Tracy's life. Tracy released her latest album "Alone" in 2019 returning to her December Rising roots of cinematic dark pop. The album is Tracy's most personal and emotional with songs that speak about her relationships with friendships such as in the song "I Stand Alone", as well as professional colleagues as with the song "All of Me Belongs to You, " and authority figures as in "The Land of the Free" and the passing of her Mother in the song "Goddess". The album also includes a dramatically emotional cover of the Patti LaBelle hit "New Attitude."
