DeDe Jones

Since the age of two DeDe has used her voice to share the love of God with all who will listen. Whether she’s preaching a sermon or singing a song, her prayer is that every person who hears her knows they are fully and unconditionally loved by God. Jesus was clear: love God, love your neighbor and even love those who don’t love you! So, when someone asks DeDe how she can love “them,” she says, “blame it on Jesus!”

DeDe signed her first record deal at the age of 18 and became a featured vocalist on the the world’s largest Christian television networks. On a weekly basis, millions of people heard DeDe’s voice for the first time. Whether singing in a church, at a concert venue or in a studio, people have opened up to DeDe about their relationship with God. More and more, she heard from people who didn’t feel welcome in church. Because of their gender, their past, or who they loved, they felt like God’s love wasn’t for them. Through these experiences, DeDe felt God was again calling her to use her voice in a different way.

Now as a pastor at Lovers Lane United Methodist Church in Dallas, Texas, she combines her gift for singing and preaching to share God’s message of unconditional love that she hopes build bridges between people from all walks of life and past experiences.
