Deejay Kaboom

Deejay Kaboom fell in love with the idea of Djing when he was just a child back in his hometown of Mexico City. Coming from a poor single parent household, his goal of becoming a DJ would be suspended in time until his mother would migrate to the states and eventually sent for him. Still dealing with financial obstacles, and unable to ask his mother for money for expensive equipment, Deejay Kaboom set out to get a job at 17 years old, and after working full time during a summer he was able to save enough money to buy a pair of Technics Turntables and the rest of audio gear he needed to get started. After spending countless hours behind the decks and understanding music in a deeper level and in more detail, he decided he was ready to try making beats. Deejay Kaboom’s style ranges from his Mexican and Latino roots, to the underground electronic sounds of England though a love for techno from the early 90’s and drum and bass from the mid 90’s, and everything in between. Deejay kaboom continues to push his creativity and his production, and after 20 years invested in his craft he still continues to have the same passion for DJing and for music.
