Derek’s father was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a blood and bone cancer. Toward the end of 2017, following this earth-shattering diagnosis, Derek began performing fundraising shows with the charity F*ck Cancer. To this day, his father continues chemotherapy while Derek passionately works with the organization to raise money and awareness for those affected.
He’s since performed at major festivals including EDC and Breakaway, toured with Loud Luxury, Two Friends, and Audien, and continues to sell out club rooms across key markets nationwide. With hundreds of headlining shows across the U.S. and Europe, Deerock has performed for tens of thousands through tours, festivals, and high-energy support slots. His catalog includes multiple Billboard Dance entries — including two singles charting in the Top 50 — along with collaborations and remixes that have cemented his place in the electronic crossover space.
In recent months, his social presence on Instagram and TikTok has grown virally, driven by the release of four singles from his upcoming Sunrise/Sunset EP, with the first three landing prominently on Spotify’s Dance Pop playlists. This EP marks a new, emotionally charged era of music for Deerock.
