DEFUGA formed in early 2023, playing grindcore inspired by the classic hardcore punk scene in Orange County, CA. After only a few months and two live shows, DEFUGA released their debut EP <a href="spotify:album:4ypuiGjfL7cDEGBAkQabSH" data-name="KICK ME">KICK ME</a>, recorded in their garage.

Members of DEFUGA are also active in other projects, including <a href="spotify:artist:4rA3f5w6gGQbLcncfl7qMv" data-name="Blot">Blot</a>, a two-piece band also from Orange County, and <a href="spotify:artist:3oRIepzj5Buq2L7OmjrEpr" data-name="MxYxAxO">MxYxAxO</a>.
