Deja Janea

Rising Singer/Songwriter Deja Janea draws her musical influence from personal life experiences such as love, nature and womanhood. Born in Tacoma, raised in Delaware and now living in Los Angeles, traveling woke her desire to tell stories through songs. Music has always been apart of Deja's life, starting from her mother's Jazz and R&B selection to her father's Hip Hop/Rap influence. In addition to growing up watching her older brother “Sean Ray" pursue his music career. Deja Janea started her career as a full time model and on her days off she'd freestyle to instrumentals, journal, and write poems which eventually led to songwriting. Surrounded by a large variety of music, Deja fell in love with artists such as Jill Scott, Anita Baker and Jhene Aiko (to name a few) which describes her sound as R&B/Neo-Soul. She wrote her first song "Eucalyptus" in mid 2019 and released the song with a visual later that year then followed up with her recent release "Ocean Deep". Deja Janea's lyrics will make you want to fall in love, remind you what love feels like and appreciate yourself even more.
