Hailing from Ypsilanti, Michigan ,DEMETRI is an up and coming independent artist with a penchant for writing infectious music and relatable narratives. Inspired by Gospel artists such as Deitrick Haddon, Fred Hammond as well as R&B artists like Tyrese,Tank, Donnell Jones and Boy to Men,DEMETRI music journey began at a tender age of 7, singing in church as well as Growing up with a musical family.
DEMETRI established vocal training from a young age. As he grew older he eventually discovered the magic of music, everything changed as it sparked a burning passion for him pursue a career as a
performer.
Being an avid storyteller, DEMETRI is greatly influenced by real life, drawing inspiration for his music from personal experiences and hardships, allowing him to invoke strong emotions in people. Apart from invoking emotions, DEMETRI also seems to have a unique innate competency to ingeniously present music in multiple styles, all while maintaining a consistent brand, one of the factors that make this artist one to keep an eye out for.
Even though DEMETRI only started out his journey as a professional Artist not too long ago, the multi-talented individual has already managed to slowly amass a small but loyal following. DEMETRI is a big advocate of authenticity and being genuine.
