Demi Dabady, singer/songwriter and artist was born and raised in the East Flatbush section of Brooklyn New York to parents of Haitian descent. Writing songs since the tender age of 15. Demi began exploring her musical and cultural heritage since a young girl. Inspired by the works of Whitney Houston, Lauryn Hill, Anita Baker, Prince, Michael Jackson and a variety of Haitian Kompa. It was in the summer of 2004, when New York based Radio Station Hot 97.1 blasted Demi’s collaborated song with Def Jam recording Artist (at the time) Joe Buddens entitled “Jingle Baby”. Demi's other collaborated work includes the soundtrack to Bill Cosby’s movie “Fat Albert” where once again Demi collaborated with Def Jam recording artist Joe Buddens. Demi performed along side Kevin Little and Kamani Marley at the Brooklyn Museum to raise funds for the 2010 Haiti earthquake. Also a former intern at Sony Music Entertainment for two years where Demi worked in the TV & Film department. Demi is the co-creator of Fyrezone Entertainment (finding your rhythm through education) a company focused on infusing creative arts programming in public schools for young people. Demi has performed at Howard University homecoming in 2011. Demi has supported Haiti Flag Day in Brooklyn, NY since 2014. Demi is a proud member of the Haitian Round Table Organization and has been awarded a 2018 NYC City Council Citation on behalf of Public Advocate Jumaane Williams. Demi's first single off her EP is entitled "Practice".
