South London born and bred rapper, Den Den, most well-known for initiating the gangster-grime genre in 2002, with the musical crew he constructed – Roadside G’s, shot to fame throughout boroughs of London for his gritty, real life and unfiltered lyrics about life on the streets.
Years ahead of his time musically and creating a sound that was previously unheard of, with his unfiltered lyrics that focused on his life in South London in the early 2000’s, Den Den clashed other MC’s on pirate radio stations, most notably, Scorcher on Heat FM, whilst current grime favourite, Skepta was still a DJ at the station. Den Den proved his potential as a solo artist from early on, that could not only hold his own during a clash – but absolutely annihilate other artists lyrically and in-turn was co-signed by industry legends such as Kiss 100’s Logan Sama and Roll Deeps Maximum.
With an ever-present and continuing passion for music and encouragement from peers, Den Den has decided to embark on a solo career – which will be sure to spark a new era, exactly as he did over a decade ago. Coming back with a solo sound which will take inspiration from his musical past and allow different dimensions of himself to be shown, whilst allowing his musical evolution to shine through, however still remaining true to his roots, fans can expect to hear ‘explicit content that’s easy on the ear’.
