Denis

Denis Marian, aka DenisTheMenace, lives in Buchs (Aargau) in Switzerland and is the son of a musician. Denis has won every Swiss Beatbox Championship since 2017. He knows how to transform his lips, tongue and throat into an astonishing drumset. Denis articulates seemingly harmles consonants like B, K or Z sharp, precise and lights a massive rhythmical firework with them. The audience is entranced and may wonder if these Hip-Hop-, Dubstep- or Trance-grooves really originate from the body of one single artist!

Denis Marian is also an excellent breakdancer. He is a member of the breakdance-group "Ghost RockZ" which has won the Swiss Breakdance Championship "Battle of the year" in 2009.

He obtained his skills from his older Broder ZeDe, Beatboxing Worldchampion of 2009! Ever since he was 16 years old, beatboxing became his passion and an important constant in Denis' life. At the age of 19, he received the award for Best Show at the Swiss Beatbox Championship.

Currently Denis is working on several projects: together with Max Urban, the Duo creates music exclusively with the human voice. With the intercultural artistgroup www.ssassa.ch Denis is exploring completely new paths: his rich Beatbox-grooves align perfectly into brazilian, albanian and english songs. At school concerts with the program "Ssassa-Franzastisch", he enspires kids and teachers alike. At the closing concert of a project week in Untersiggenthal, 500 spectators gave a standing ovation for him.
