Dennis Owadia Gidigo, professionally known as Dennixx, is a rising Afrobeat musician making waves in Nigeria's buzzing music scene. Based in Benin City, Edo State, Dennixx is garnering attention for his energetic live performances and unique fusion of Afro-pop, Afro-juju, hip hop and other contemporary styles.
Born in Okpe, Akoko-Edo, Dennixx grew up in a highly musical household that nurtured his early love for the arts. The vibrant sounds of Afrobeats pioneers like Davido, Wizkid and Burna Boy inspired him to seriously pursue music from 2015. After honing his skills in his hometown, Dennixx moved to Benin City in 2017 to immerse himself in the state’s bustling music scene.
His recording career began in 2022 with the catchy single “Vitamin C,” which introduced his energetic vocal delivery and charismatic public persona. Dennixx describes his eclectic style as “genre-fluid,” seamlessly blending Afro-juju, pop, hip hop, and contemporary rhythms. His lyrics explore youth culture, relationships, resilience and having fun.
Through tireless performing and networking, Dennixx has become a regular face in Benin City’s music circuit. His follow-up singles “Gimme love” and “Loke” exhibit his versatility and original artistry.
