Derek James

Derek James is an American Hip Hop Recording artist out of San Antonio, Texas. He wrote his first rap at the age of 7 on an old typewriter his family found. He continued to hone his writing skills and recorded from the age of 13 to 27. He stepped away from recording for but never left music. He continued writing and improving his vocal ability and timing. In 2025, he returned to recording and released his first official song “Last Time.” He continues to improve his skill set and has written R&B, Pop and Folk songs for other artists.
