Deserto Moai is a brazilian band, from the city of Brasília (Federal District).
The band started in 2013, with two high school friends that love music and songwritting. They began to experiment with vibes and ideas, releasing their first demo songs short after (River Of Stones and Sweet); as new musicians joined the band, they started writting "Caravana", their first album, entirely produced by the band, and released it on streaming platforms at 2019.
The album features songs in both portuguese and english, as the songwriters are deeply influenced by composers such as Bob Dylan, Eddie Vedder, Dave Matthews, George Harrison, Caetano Veloso, Chico Buarque, Jackson do Pandeiro, among others.

Later the band released three EPs, one of them being "A Canoa" (The Canoe), a song in portuguese that made it all the way up to a national radio's music festival in Brazil, where the band performed it live. This particular song showcases the smooth, heartfelt melodies of Brazil's MPB with the harmonic journey of psychedelic/progressive music.

As of 2024, the band is currently working on their 2nd studio album.
