Desiree Elise Stevens (aka Desiree Stevens, blaqbirddd, Eliza Eloquita & Xhillaquita) has a passion for all things music, which was discovered at a young age.
In middle school, Desiree played the violin. During her junior year of high school, she was a part of Treble Choir–an all women's ensemble. As a senior, she advanced to Chamber Singers–the elite choir that represented her alma mater in the community. The same year, she was awarded the trophy for "Most Outstanding Senior" in her schools' choral department.
As a native Southern Californian, she's performed and busked throughout the region. Now residing in Buffalo, NY, she's performed as both a solo artist and as a part of her former group DxA, "a group that consisted of the merging of two music lovers; a fiery, soulful songstress Desiree Elise & a passionate electric guitarist & multi-instrumentalist Adam Drury". She's graced stages locally at Mohawk Place, Perks Cafe, Allentown Music, Ol’ Wondermouth’s Summer Music Series, the Discover Amherst Festival, The Infringement Festival, The Music is Art Festival and more.
These days, Desiree spends her time recording, songwriting, experimenting with producing, learning to play guitar, auditioning for bands, organizing jam sessions, performing at open mics & karaoke events, & sharpening her newly discovered freestyle and rapping skills.
Stay tuned for new music! 💛
