Destiny Nsonga is a songwriter, poet, singer and butterfly for the pearl of Africa Uganda started songwriting aged 13 when she entered “Hot Steps” child talent competitions during school holidays. Her parents discouraged her from a music career but, encouraged by friends, she persisted and started to sing rather than just writing. She tested her singing ability when she reached top 40 in national CocaCola “Rated Next” trials, she then proved to be a force to be reckoned with. And since then she has gone on to have two successful singles Aliwa and Kanjooge.
