Navigating various aspects of life and relationships are common themes in Atlanta, Georgia-based artist, Devenaire’s music. He raps with confidence over jazzy instrumentation and offers an individual perspective from his upbringing and life’s lessons. His soulful sound and introspective lyrics leave a lasting impression on listeners who resonate with his uplifting and necessary messages.

Devenaire is originally from Camden—Queen City, a small close-knit city located in the southernmost part of Arkansas. It was there that he laid the foundation for his music career, but he lacked full-on support from those closest to him. His family wanted him to pursue sports like the majority of his peers, but he was keen on forging his own path and utilizing his musical gifts. He began by finding his voice as a singer and expressing himself through songwriting, which presented him with collaborative songwriting opportunities with the likes of K.E. On the Track, Bobby Valentino, and Mello The Producer.

Devenaire shifted his focus from singing to his first love, rapping. He has since solidified his sound, balancing the smooth and melodic elements of R&B and the quick-witted and hard-hitting elements of Hip-Hop. In 2017 he released an EP entitled “Closure” followed by a series of singles in 2019. The first installment of YKTV was released in 2021 and YKTV II came shortly after in 2022.
