Device Operator is an electronic music producer and visual artist based in southern Louisiana. In 2019, Device began creating music after a decade of love for electronic music of all types, drawn in by the open attitude of vaporwave. He draws heavily from early EDM, dubstep, glitch hop, french house, vaporwave, future funk, 80s funk/soul/pop, and new age music. Device has set out to release a varied catalog of music and has brought this unique blend of influence to everything from ambient music to fast-paced club anthems.
To date in 2022, Device has released 6 full length albums in a variety of styles, a number of singles, and an array of collaborations. Two of these albums were released on prominent record labels, Business Casual and Neoncity Records, selling almost 300 tapes combined. He has also been featured on multiple compilations, including the 10th Anniversary tribute to Eccojams released by Tiger Blood Tapes, and also both Slushwave Social Club compilations.
