It was formed circa 2007 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The band was heavily influenced by melodic guitar riffing, double bass drumming and heavy breakdowns of metalcore music. The band had undergone several changes in their line-up and then went on hiatus in order to scout for members who could carry the weight of the band. At present, Devillians is manned by Ali on vocals, Fido on guitar, Wan on bass and Izzat on drums, where they have made regular appearances in local shows.
