Devon Golder is an urban music producer, songwriter and recording artist. A preacher's son, Golder and his kin rapped with a Christian rap group, Kinnection, in the 1990s. After they disbanded, he briefly fronted an R&B boy band, Dezire. Later on, he became a member of the Righteous Riders, another Christian Hip Hop group. He and one of the members, Logic, formed their own Ear Candi production team to start peddling their services to write and produce other artists.
One of their first acts was the legendary Grammy® Award winning Haitian musician, Wyclef Jean. They collaborated on Jean's platinum 2007 track, “Sweetest Girl (Dollar Bill),” which featured Akon, Lil Wayne and Nia. He's also written on songs that have been recorded by Shakira, Missy Elliott, Paul Simon, Cassidy, Lyfe Jennings, and Danity Kane, among others. Along the way, the Indianapolis native has also dropped solo bangers such as 2015’s provocative “Ride with Me”; but for his latest venture, “I Talk to God” (Ear Candi/Tyscot), he’s returning to his spiritual roots with some assistance from Wyclef Jean.
